Have you experienced the power of your Uninterrupted Mind?

Invitation for a coaching experience that will spark  new ways of thinking

Where do you go if you want to experience the power of your highly capable mind – do you have a space for uninterrupted thinking?

The good news is that we can indeed create the conditions for energy to flow uninterrupted in our minds. Nancy Kline, the founder of The Thinking Environment has spent the last 37 years of her life researching the conditions needed for independent thinking. In the process, she has distilled exactly what can unleash and unlock a person’s best uncluttered and unfettered thinking.

“The quality of anything we do depends on the quality of independent thinking and that needs a thinking environment to be created for the
thinker.” – Nancy Kline

I am happy to bring you, The Uninterrupted Mind, a set of leadership coaching sessions, inspired by the work of Nancy Kline.

I was deeply impacted by the profound and yet simply implementable nature of the Thinking Environment practice when I underwent the foundation training for coaching and facilitation for the same. I would like to bring the experience of the Uninterrupted Mind to leaders and professionals who want to experience their OWN BEST THINKING in this age of constant interruptions and notifications.

Interventions can be made for Leadership thinking as well as groups generating independent thinking.

Client testimonial for The Uninterrupted Mind session

“The session with Nandini has been life-changing for me. The session which was conducted extremely professionally and lovingly by Nandini helped me to recentre myself, my thoughts, and energy in a profound way.

I had underestimated the impact holding space for your thoughts in a structured way can have on your life. During the session there came a point where I realised that my vulnerability was being witnessed and that made me feel connected to Nandini in a very powerful way. This connection allowed Nandini to help me reach myself deeper. I didn't realise this at the time but after the session I made some important life decisions that I had never given thought to. I finally had clarity of thought so to speak. Thank you for this, Nandini."

The base promise of The Uninterrupted Mind sessions rest on some fundamental findings. Some of these are as follows –

“Attention generates thinking.”

Continuous uninterrupted attention creates waves of thinking in the mind. Allowing the waves to come and crash against the walls of attention brings better and better waves of thinking forward.

“Discarding internal urgency”

The brain’s amygdala calmed and secure let’s go of internal urgency and hypervigilance. In this condition, our best thinking has the courage to rise. We think best when we are at ease.

“Authentic genuine appreciation promotes thinking”

Appreciation is an art and being appreciated for who we really are, creates the conditions for genuine thinking to come forth.

If you are curious about how this actually works for yourself or for your core leadership teams, please do not hesitate to reach out for a "thinking session” facilitated by me.

Did you know how notifications can harm the quality of your thinking?

As per a report, a US mobile phone user receives 46 push notifications a day. Some reports peg at 63.5. It leads to extreme distraction and interrupted thinking. Carnegie Mellon and Telefonica conducted in study in 2015 in which they found that shutting of notifications for a week, greatly improved concentration and reduced mental stress. Ironically, they found it hard to recruit volunteers for this study at the time. The link to it is attached here.

Honing the Art of Leadership – A Talk at Amity Business School, India

Here is a talk we did at Amity Business School, India, where the discussion was on leaders going “inward” to connect with inner compassion in order to show empathy to others. We also talked about our own research on the biggest challenges for leaders in these times. Some learnings about the brain and its emotional system are also included in the talk.

Do watch if you get the time. (Please see from the 48 th minute. It is a 20 min talk)
