Hello from Corowa...

Culcairn Masterplan

Earlier this year we were engaged by the Culcairn Community Improvement Committee and the Culcairn Healthy Town Committee to develop a Strategic Architectural Masterplan for Culcairn, a small rural township located in the southern Riverina region of NSW.

Through the development of an Architectural Masterplan, the project seeks to identify and capitalise on the idyllic rural location, historical ties and natural assets for the township’s future.

To officially kick-off the project, last weekend the Regional Design Service team headed out to Culcairn for a community engagement day; meeting and interacting with community members to discover valuable insights, sentiment and information from them regarding their town and how they see its future.

Another crucial element of the Masterplanning process is a survey we have developed for the community, with responses providing valuable information to the Committees, Council and us.

If you live in, have lived in or travel through Culcairn, we’d love to hear your thoughts by completing our survey here.

We are so passionate about community projects such as this, where we can play an important role in assisting with positive change.

Head over to our website to read more on what the aims of the Masterplan are and stay tuned for further updates as this project develops.

Project Update, Lavington

Late last year we introduced you to a new project we were working on in Lavington, NSW. A generously proportioned family home, our design brief has been to refine elements of the existing architecture to enhance and maximise the living and entertaining spaces.

A few months on and we have construction drawings complete, ready to be finalised this week with the Engineer. We thrive on collaboration with our clients throughout project stages, so we’re eagerly anticipating the next meeting with this client, where we will review the drawings and finer construction details of their new kitchen.

Tendering will then take place in the coming weeks, with the project to start on site in a few months’ time. Heading to site is always an exciting time for us as we can start to share with you the project coming to life – watch this space!

Community Engagement

On Saturday April 3rd the team will be undertaking another community engagement day, setting up at John Foord Oval, home of the Corowa Rutherglen Football Netball Club.

As the first game for the 2021 season kicks off, the day will also provide the community an opportunity to provide their thoughts on the Club’s involvement and the future of John Foord Oval as part of the $35 million redevelopment of the Corowa foreshore.

We will have a marquee set up for the day and encourage club members and supporters, the local community and stakeholder groups to come and learn more about the precinct plan for the John Foord Oval, and share opinions and ideas so we can develop a plan that represents exactly what our community wants and needs.

We’re really excited to be working on this project with the CRFNC, playing a part in significant and innovative improvements being delivered for the community’s much-loved sporting landmark that so many can benefit from for years to come.
