#5 — Artemis Day at NASA

December 9th was "Artemis Day" at NASA, which marked the occasion by unveiling the completed core stage of its powerful new Space Launch System. FlyBy

 

#4 — Delivering the Goods to ISS

The SpaceX Dragon and Russian Progress 74 delivered goods to the International Space Station. SpaceX's delivery included barley seeds (beer anyone?) and mice. FlyBy

We're also hearing rumors that weed will be in the next shipment. Yup!

 

#3 — Got Space Junk?

The European Space Agency awarded a $129 million contract to Swiss startup ClearSpace to remove rocket debris left in orbit since 2013. FlyBy

 

#2 — Rock of Ages

NASA has found a place for the Osiris-Rex spacecraft to land on the carbon-rich near Earth asteroid named Bennu. FlyBy

 

#1 — U.S. Space Force is a Go!

The House and Senate Armed Services Committees reached agreement on the National Defense Authorization Act, designating the U.S. Space Force as an independent military branch under the U.S. Air Force. The House has passed the bill and it is expected to clear the Senate without a problem. FlyBy
