The End of the Infinite Staircase |
Yes, it's quite the paradox, but we've officially reached the end of the Infinite Staircase here at TPK. 160 or so hours of Dungeons & Dragons later, we've done it! A huge thank you to everyone who attended the event and helped make this first Geek Week a success, and to Board Bard Games, Corvid Creations, the Portland Saturday Market, and Knave of Cups for partnering with us on the festivities! Our Passport to the Infinite Staircase awards party is coming up Thursday, September 26th. We're looking forward to congratulating those who survived the full gauntlet, and just generally swapping stories about some truly unhinged player characters y'all brought. We hope to see you there! |

Last Call: Fall Kids Campaigns & TPK's First Intro Day |
Our first ongoing Kids Campaigns kick off in two weeks, on October 1st! It's looking likely that we'll need to consolidate down our options based on the number of signups, so if you've been meaning to register and just haven't gotten around to it yet now's the time. We also have room in a few sessions this coming Sunday, 9/22, for our first non-D&D Intro Day! These games are all aimed at beginners to either the system or tabletop roleplaying in general, with no preparation, experience, or materials required. Each session is 3 hours, costs $30, and is a ruleset that the GM running the game finds especially well-suited for longterm campaign play. Cypher System with GM Sage. Cypher System is a rules-light system with hidden depth that can power any setting and aims to solve some of D&D's classic pitfalls through the use of in-game cyphers and narrative character creation. This session uses The Strange (sci-fi) ruleset, but explores other rulesets such as Numenera (fantasy), Old Gods of Appalachia (folk horror), Claim the Sky (superhero), and Invisible Sun (magical surrealism) depending on the choices made by the group. Ages 16+
Cantrip with GM Kristina. "Cantrip is a Belonging Outside Belonging game about young witches attending a magical academy. Taking cues from Little Witch Academia, The Owl House and high school anime, as well as Witch Hat Atelier and Discworld’s Unseen University, players will build the world together during play, make trouble, learn magic, fall in love, make friends and try to make it through a full school year." A Few Other Dates to Keep in Mind |
Tuesday 10/1 - TPK will be open Tuesday nights moving forward! If you're looking for our GMs to host an ongoing Tuesday night campaign, or to book a table for your group on a recurring basis, let us know as we expect the gaming tables to fill up pretty quickly.
