Summer Hymn Sing

Wednesday August 9, 6:30 pm

Join us for an indoor picnic in the Fellowship Hall, followed by your favorite hymns.

Thanks to Leon and Annie, we now have matching hymnals from which to sing!

Christmas Cantata

Saturday August 26, 9:00AM

We will be presenting a Christmas Cantata Sunday Morning Dec. 10th. Those interesting in participating please see Cherry Hanes the Worship Director or Tom McCullough to get a copy of the music.

There is a recording we can send you to be listening to the Cantata.  We would love for you to join us in learning this presentation and using it to evangelize in our Community this Season.  

We will have our first run through of the entire presentation Saturday August 26, at 9:00AM. After that date we will meet before Sunday School to rehearse.  We will have at least on sat rehearsal the Sat, Dec. 9th at 9:00AM the day before the presentation.

Game Night

No Game Night for August

Come join us for a night of fun with board games, cards, dominoes, etc.  You can learn how to play a new game or bring one of your favorites and teach others.  All ages welcome.  Held at the church fellowship hall.

Food Drive

Wednesday August 2, 10 am

We are collecting food for each month for local food banks.  Bob will be collecting the donations Wednesday and delivering them to the food bank.

Sunday School

Adult Sunday School - 9:00 am in Fellowship Hall.  They will be studying Ecclesiastes.

Women of Grace Bible Studies

The women’s Tuesday morning Bible study will start Sept 5th at 9:30 with an introduction to Psalms.  We will be using the Life Change study guide on Psalms for the fall semester. It is a Navpress Bible Study and is available on Amazon.  So come with your book and join us for a wonderful study.

Worship Team

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The Audio/visual Worship Ministry is in need of Volunteers.  We need volunteers on Sundays to run the Slides during rehearsal and the Sunday Morning Worship services. We are also in need of volunteers to help with the Sound and Live Facebook streaming.  If you have a heart for the sound or visual to be excellent for the King of Kings and used as an evangelistic tool for the Kingdom of God. We would love to have you be a part of this Ministry or to help grow it to be the Best it can be for the Kingdom of God and to be a wonderful outreach.

Small Group Opportunity

During the Spring & Summer of 2019, GRCC members & visitors were invited to join one of our small groups as a new ministry opportunity. We have established three fellowship groups which generally met twice each month in homes in the North Dallas, Garland and Richardson areas. We enjoyed fellowship that promoted sharing of our needs, experiences, praying for one another and often the discussion of God’s Word together. Our meetings are in an informal setting that sometimes include a meal or light snack.

Are you looking for a place to serve to use your spiritual gifts?  There are many areas that you can serve in our church.  We have need for someone in all the spots below.

Children's Ministry                               

• If you have a desire to help out with the  children's Sunday classes, please contact Becky Wilson.

Coffee and Communion Setup              

• If you are interested in joining the setup team, please contact Beverly Prater.

Greeting

• You can be a part by greeting members and visitors, and/or helping with the visitors bags.  If you would like to get involved you can contact Becky Craig.

Refreshments 

• If you would like to help provide refreshments on Sundays you can sign up at the refreshment table or contact Judith Knox.
