Novel Madness: Vote for Your Favorite Fiction! |

March brings college basketball madness, but the library offers a slightly saner form — Novel Madness! You can help us determine the best adult fiction from the first two decades of the 21st century! Vote online starting each Wednesday and watch as the best books move to the next round. |
Along the way, you may just discover a new favorite book or author! All of these titles are available through a local branch, the SC LENDS online catalog, Libby, or hoopla. Have fun, keep reading, and let the madness begin! |

YCL Awarded Grant for Virtual Programming |
Thanks to a recent Impact Grant, YCL has purchased a wide selection of cutting-edge audiovisual technology that includes laptops, digital cameras, microphones, hard drives, and accessories. This impressive collection contains the tools our staff needs to produce a variety of professional virtual content, such as online story-times, podcasts, tutorials, and more. |
Impact Grants are funded with Library Services and Technology Act funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the SC State Library. YCL would like to express our appreciation to the State Library for generously funding this project as a result of our staff's exceptional programming and hard work. This new equipment will help take YCL's already great virtual content to the next level, serving as a model for other libraries to follow. Please look for more information and surveys about this project soon. |

Resources for Tax Forms & Preparation |
The IRS has provided YCL with limited Federal income tax forms. As no state forms will be available and free assistance is also limited, we encourage you to view, download, print, and order your tax products online. Please note that Forms 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC cannot be printed and must be ordered or purchased either directly from the IRS or an office supply store. Visit our Tax Resources page or view YCL's Tax Help Flyer for an overview of tax resources and more, including where to find free local tax preparation assistance. |
Please note that SC Stay Plus is no longer accepting new applications, and the last day for assistance at the Main Library will be Thursday, March 2. SC Stay Plus is a temporary initiative that provided short-term assistance to those experiencing financial hardships and housing challenges due to COVID-19. If you would like to apply for the waitlist, visit southcarolina.onlinepha.com, or find other renters' assistance resources near you at schousing.com. |
