World NTD Day- January 30, 2022 Beautiful canopies at Hartsfield Jackson Airport lit up for #WorldNTDDay. Neglected diseases (NTDs) affect the world's most vulnerable populations. 100 buildings & landmarks joined the global campaign to shine a light on these diseases. |

On January 30th, we joined The Carter Center in the third annual World NTD Day, highlighting the global commitment to ending neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), which cause immeasurable suffering among the world’s most marginalized communities. On this day, more than 100 landmarks in over 30 nations lit up to celebrate progress and ensure NTDs remain a global priority. |

Welcome Keena Pierre! The Mayor's Office of International Affairs is excited to welcome Keena Pierre to the team! While our Global Engagement Manager Meredith is on maternity leave, Keena will be supporting our team with our Women Export University Program and the office's marketing & communications needs. Keena is a Chicago native who has made the City of Atlanta her home for over 11 years. Welcome Parker Reed! We are so excited to welcome our International Affairs and Marketing intern, Parker Reed to our team! Parker is joining us in his last semester at Georgia Institute of Technology; studying International Affairs and Spanish with a focus on immigration and Latin America. Parker has had the opportunity to work in the immigration office of the International Rescue Committee as well as conduct research on drivers of migration in Latin America. Chaired by Vanessa Ibarra, MOIA Director, the theme of the 2022 International Consular Ball is Lights Camera Action: Atlanta Showtime, celebrating Atlanta’s prominence in film and entertainment. |
