What sparks you? For me, just about anything can spark an interest that will lead to creativity. I often think I'm all over the place, can't decide whether to paint, to do mixed media, or now, my newfound interest, ceramics. I've decided this is OK. I want joy in my life so whatever makes me happy, I do it. I hope you will do the same! |

| | Youth Summer Camp K-2 Nothing sparks more joy than seeing a child's face light up when they create their own masterpiece. During the second week of July, I had the privilege of teaching these budding artists at The Sonoran Arts League Youth Summer Camp. Ranging ages from 4 to 8, they were so fun to work with. | | Printmaking Youth Intensive Does your child want a creative outlet to learn printmaking? The Sonoran Arts League September Youth Intensive is for them. This course is for youth in 3rd through 8th grade and takes place on four consecutive Thursday nights from 4 pm to 6 pm. Register your creative kids to join me to learn about printmaking. | | Veterans Focus Along with Warren Davis, Executive Director of the Sonoran Arts League, and Tess Mosko Scherer, Executive Director of the AZ Art Alliance, I had the honor of judging the Veterans Art Exhibit at the Carl T Hayden VA Medical Center in Phoenix. Award winners will advance to the National Show. Additionally, I was excited to see my painting contribution to Project Gratitude hanging in the entrance of the Center. | | Hidden in the Hills 2022 Mark your calendars to save the date for this year's Hidden in the Hills. I'm excited to host these amazing artists once again in my home in November. Joining me will be Casey Cheuvront, Oil, Diane C Taylor, glass, and our newest addition, Sarah Byrnes, and her pottery. This year we will have scheduled demonstrations from each of us, sharing our techniques. We will have fine art in all price ranges and will be serving refreshments.
