As long as there's the two of us. We've got the world and all it's charms.
And when the world is through with us. We've got each others arms ... It's that time of year again when everything is jolly and full of light and love! And yet it isn't. Our world is a mess. The ice caps are melting, war isn't over, suffering continues, the political scene is crazy, and not everyone is happy. It reminds me of many years ago at a holiday church service, a young woman came up front and reminded us all that Verne isn't always happy through the winter holiday season. She sang and played Joni Mitchell's song River, a heartbreaking performance. Those of us in the entertainment business get paid to make you all feel wonderful during the holidays, no matter what's going on in the world. We keep smiling and making music, or dancing for you, acting out rolls on the stage. Sometimes we get to do a special concert that says something real, touches your heart. Those are the best times for me. I love making you happy, and I really love making you cry.
I hope I see you out there this season. Stop and say hello. Tell me about your life. Ask me for a hug. ... You've got to win a little, lose a little. And always have the blues a little.

Each concert highlights music from the early 20th century to today, and is presented by some of the area's most talented Jazz musicians.
