Welcome Home –

The pumpkins are coming! The pumpkins are coming! This Sunday the pumpkins are scheduled to arrive this Sunday sometime after church. We will send a follow-up Email later this week when the truck gets on the road with a more specific time. Opportunities abound to help unload pumpkins, refill water bottles (we are asking everyone to bring your own reusable water bottle), if you are physically unable to move pumpkins bring out a chair and come out and encourage or heckle us. Ask your friends and neighbors, many hands make light work.

Thank you, thank you, thank you,

                                       I love you,

                                                          Kyle

Somebody…

This past Sunday the heat of summer finally broke, so the eight o’clockers worshiped downstairs and outside. We discovered, in the supply closet, sixteen bags of all sorts of meats, vegetables, beans, fruits, soups, pie ingredients, peanut butter, pasta sauces, etc. Some generous anonymous donor snuck these in!

This nourishing cornucopia of gifts for the food bank reminds us of fall, of shorter days, cooler temperatures, and more time spent indoors around the table sharing food and fellowship.

Whoever you are, please know your feast will be placed on the pantry’s shelves this week. What a gracious way to begin the season of giving.

Thank you for being somebody to somebody….

Parish Hall Update

Fellow parishioners, I want to share that our parish hall project is still alive. We encountered engineering setbacks thru the design and foundation stages and are now gathering cost estimates for construction. Without further complications construction could begin in the Spring of 2024. A Parish Hall addition will aid in ministry growth throughout our community and provide a venue for events we all can enjoy. Please pray for the building team as they continue gathering information for your Parish Hall. James Drennan, Jr. Warden

An update from the Search Committee for the 11th Bishop of the Diocese of MS:

We have conducted our interviews with candidates and our next step is a semi-finalist retreat in the first week of October. We ask your prayers for deep listening and prayerful discernment as we continue conversation with our candidates.

We are moving quickly toward the announcement of our slate of 3-5 candidates and the beginning of the work for the Transition Committee, which will oversee the next phase of the Search. You can find an updated timeline on our website:

Thank you for your continued prayers and may God continue to bless the Episcopal Diocese of MS!
