THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED, PRESENTED, AND SPOKE AT THE 2021 BAY AREA YOUTH CLIMATE SUMMIT! It was an incredible experience, and we're glad so many of you could join us. We were so blessed to be able to host an in-person part of our summit this year, and thank you for your attendance and support! We're so excited to continue developing this network of amazing youth passionate about acting for climate justice! Special shout-out to St. Ignatius for letting us host the summit at their campus! |

BAYCS IS OPENING TEAM APPLICATIONS!!! Calling all youth activists interested in leadership!!! As the end of 2021 nears, we want to give students an opportunity to join our team when 2022 starts! Joining the BAYCS Team gives great leadership opportunities as well as chances to take initiative within the climate movement! THE YOUTH CLIMATE AMBASSADORS (YCA) PROGRAM FOR SAN MATEO COUNTY YOUTHLet’s Take on Climate Action, San Mateo County 9-11th graders! Do you or someone you know have a 9-11th grade student that is ready to make some positive change in their community? The Youth Climate Ambassadors (YCA) program is now accepting applications for the 2022 cohort! The YCA program is a year-long, youth leadership program that provides students with the opportunity to dive into social and environmental issues contributing to the global climate crisis. Through the program, students will build their knowledge of the climate change, explore various climate solutions, and design and implement an impact project to create positive, environmental change within their school or local community. | | |

YOU(TH) BE THE CHANGE Are you interested in bringing climate change education to your school? The You(th) Be the Change program is a free climate change education program geared towards middle school students. Topics include the carbon cycle, impacts of climate change, food systems, climate justice and climate solutions. In-school formats are flexible, ranging anywhere from a single one-hour virtual "guest speaker" experience up to a series of sequential sessions. A self-paced after-school format is also available. Lessons have an emphasis on evidence based concepts and a focus on action oriented solutions. To learn more, visit the link below! | | |
