GOLD STAR FAMILIES MEMORIAL MONUMENT- FRISCO, TX

In 2018 we had the honor of having Iwo Jima veteran and last surviving WWII, Marine, Medal of Honor recipient, Hershel “Woody” Williams as the guest speaker at our Marine Corps Birthday Ball.

“Woody,” who is also a Marine Corps League member in his home state, has dedicated his life to serving veterans and their family members. His mission through the Hershel Woody Williams Medal of Honor Foundation is to build a monument to Gold Star Families in every state and as many communities as possible. Gold Star Family members and relatives are those who have sacrificed a Loved One for our Freedom.

There is currently an effort underway to build a Gold Star Families Memorial Moment in Frisco, TX. The monument is set to be dedicated on March 13th.

The Marine Corps League, LCpl Jacob D Hayes Detachment #1426 of Collin County is proud to supported this fitting tribute to the families that sacrificed so much for our country and way of life, through a $1000 donation to the memorial fund.  If you would personally like to make a contribution to Honor Gold Star Families you may do so through the website:  Frisco Texas Gold Star Families Memorial Monument (hwwmohf.org)
