Happy National Pink Day!

It is Pride Weekend! Pink was in the original flag created in 1978 by Gilbert Baker. The iconic Pride Rainbow flag originally had eight stripes. Since today is National Pink Day - I want you all to know that pink represented sexuality. The other colors included were red for healing, yellow for sun, green for serenity with nature, turquoise for art, indigo for harmony, and violet for spirit. Since then, the flag has been changed a few times to include more marginalized groups.

HAVE A GREAT PRIDE WEEKEND!

The Weekly Poll Results! 🎈

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? That is a big question and a hard one to answer. It seems that even with this classic yet complicated question, people still weren't sure how much wood they could chuck! It appears that there is a tie! A tie for this complex math problem... Well, the tie was between "42" and "A Woodchuck is a Woodetarian." Both seem feasible but, I think we have to give the winning prize to A WOODCHUCK IS A WOODETARIAN!

  • Noah Kahan's Stick Season Tour: This concert was a great concert! Great company and great music. I really loved going to this one and it was outside which added so much to it. Also Noah was just good vibes and the audience was really happy to be there too. It was really a beautiful!

  • Ed Sheeran's Mathematics Tour: Ed Sheeran is great at putting on a fabulous concert but, this experience was not my favorite. My section of folks in the concert venue were not hyped to be there. The energy from the people around was lackluster and they were telling me how to experience the concert, literally. I tried to not let it take away from my experience. I had a good time, just wasn't my favorite.

Other Thoughts - Queer Love

Queer love is special. It is something that feels warm and is beautiful to watch. Seeing queer love, I see so much beauty because it took so much for it to exist. It took a lot of self-questioning, the fear of not being “normal,” and it took many trials and tribulations that only that individual person knows. When seeing separate individuals converge into a moment, you see a story of how they learned so much about who they are and who they want to be so that they can love others and themselves. When queer folk gather and express love, it is beautiful and breathtaking because it is filled with so much story.

Within that story, it can feel like defiance is present even though love shouldn’t be an act of defiance. It is just existence. Seeing queer love exist makes the heart sing. By loving and showing queer love, we let others exist. Queer love is a special, unique, and beautiful thing to watch unfold and blossom. At the end of the day, queer love is beautiful because it is insanely human.
