DO YOU MISS YOU?

MOURNING THE PERSON YOU ONCE WERE IS ONE OF THE HARDEST PARTS OF THIS BRAIN TUMOR JOURNEY. YOU ARE FOREVER CHANGED, NOT NECESSARILY BAD OR GOOD, BUT DIFFERENT. THERE ARE NO WORDS THAT CAN EXPLAIN IT, BUT IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW.

YOUR STORY MATTERS....

In January 2021 I was not able to lift my left arm. Over the next few months, my symptoms increased to memory loss, headaches, slurred speech, balance issues, and mini blackouts from rising to fast. I was scared and trying to get doctors to listen that this was more than a pinched nerve.

When I was finally diagnosed with a right frontal lobe meningioma, grade 2, a-typical, many questions came into my head. I immediately went to Facebook groups to see if I could get questions answered but it never felt intimate and only scared me more.

After Angel invited me to join this group I was already post-surgery. I was immediately welcomed, they let me cry, and tell my story. They listened, supported me, and gave advice, but most of all gave me the courage to keep going. I am now a year post-surgery and being able to talk with this group anytime has made me not feel so alone.

Thank you BTZSG!
