Dearest Holy Comforter Family, We are very excited about the launch of our new "Holy Comfort for the Homeless" ministry, especially after we were awarded a Diocesan Parish grant for this outreach program. Many items have been purchased for the bags, and a discussion and bag-packing session will take place after church on Sunday, September 25. The bags are a way of acknowledging our common humanity and our love and concern for those who are unsheltered. The bags will contain several personal care and comfort items as well as bottled water and snacks. If you are able to assist with putting together a list of resources that may be helpful in the Montgomery area - if you can help with this, email tleewgirl85@gmail.com. Thank you in advance for your prayers for and participation in this ministry, Lee |
