Week #3: Take a Virtual Field Trip to...Just About Anywhere!
- Visit the Wide Open School's site to take a virtual tour of museums, factories, space and many more unique locations and grow your child's communication skills while you do it by working on:
Following Directions & Auditory Comprehension
- Encourage your child to build up her ability to understand spoken language by following simple directions on your field trips. As you explore, use wording such as:
- "Show me the..."
- "Point to the..."
- "Find the..."
- "Touch the..."
To give your child an added language boost, be sure to throw in some
describing words! For example:
- "Show me the red bird"
- "Find the big dinosaur"
