We've just released a new software update: Starling Home Hub 5.0.
In this release, we've added support for 2-way audio (talkback) for all Nest cameras, so you can talk to people at your front door or in other rooms at home from the iOS Home app, or your Apple Watch. We've added support for Two-Factor Authentication for Nest Accounts (which will soon become mandatory), added a low battery warning for Nest Temperature Sensors, improved the log-in flow for Google Accounts, and fixed a number of other bugs. (If you were wondering why your hub previously named your Nest x Yale Lock as 'Lock Lock', we've fixed that too!)
We recommend that all customers go to setup.starlinghome.io and follow the on-screen instructions to update Starling Home Hub to this new release. All new hubs shipped from today will include the 5.0 firmware.
We're also glad to report that we've now resumed hub production. We have brought in additional resource to help catch up on our backlog, and for everyone who is still waiting for their hub to ship, we appreciate your patience as we do everything we can to get back to normal after our month-long supply chain interruption.
We're continually working hard to make Starling Home Hub even better, and very much appreciate your support and loyalty as customers. Thank you!
