We worked *hard* to bring awareness on this day and at gathering interest. During our speeches we had around 100 people watching attentively and reached out to during our flyer distribution period, we passed out, and placed on car windows, our entire box of a thousand flyers. Most people were highly receptive and interested in our cause, people in the Northwest are highly interested in human rights and believe in protests to further the cause. Regardless, we believe that a careful narrative works while doing PUBLIC outreach, not necessarily during COMMUNITY discussions which seems to help with receptiveness. Regardless, the international event was a great success and will the number of participants will only increase as time goes on.
