What's On?
Tonight, Jamie Raven presents Making Magic at the Magnet – not to be missed. It's apple weekend at Hughenden Manor, with tastings, apple sales, countryside produce and more. One of my favourites… many films are shot at Burnham Beeches (from Harry Potter to Robin Hood, and this Saturday, you can Meet the Ranger on Location to talk about some of the films that have been filmed there (read my interview
with the ranger here www.mumsaboutcookham.com/film). There's plenty of spooktastic events on for half term and Halloween this year. From 20–28 October, Hallo'welly'ween is back at Wellington Country Park. The Bat's Lair trail is taking place at Cliveden, or follow the eerie Halloween trail at Black Park between 22 and 26 October. Head
to Hughenden again for their annual pumpkin carving – this is truly brilliant. And Norden Farm also have some great shows an events on for families – join their storytellers in the magical story
den or take part in  Singalong Concertini.

Pick your own pumpkins
We've all heard of fruit picking, but have you ever been pumpkin picking?

No, me either! But it sounds as if it could be a great family day out and the fun doesn't end when you get home, because then you can get creative with carving. So where can you find a Pumpkin Patch and more spooky fun and games nearby?

1. Peterley Manor Farm
2. Millets Farm Centre

3. Peach Croft Farm
4. Hatton Adventure World
5. Willows Activity Farm
