We've had a VERY busy first quarter of our 7th year! This summer saw our highest number of financial assistance requests since we began. Thanks to our generous sponsors and donors, we've been able to keep up with this increased demand. We're looking forward to our first "Birdies for Boon" Golf Tournament in November, which will help fund our patient support program. More details are available below. I encourage you to read on to see what we've been up to this quarter and what plans we have for the coming months! Your support makes it possible. Thank you for being a BOON for young adults fighting cancer! -Katherine |

Our Meta Meet Up group (for young adults with chronic, metastatic, or Stage 4 cancer) met twice over the summer as well! Teamwork Makes the Dream Work We're so grateful for our community and the many ways we work together to support young adults impacted by cancer. In August Boon volunteer Bethany Thomas hosted her second annual "Bethany's Book Sale for Boon." It was a huge success and plans are already underway for our 3th annual one next year. Members of The Boon Project also represented the organization across the state at events hosted by SC Cancer Alliance, MUSC, Camp Happy Days, and Women of Hudson. We've been busy! |
