RECAP OF THE AUGUST 11 FORT ADAMS INVESTIGATION
It was another amazing evening at Fort Adams on August 11. As always, it was an absolute joy to meet so many brave souls who ventured deep inside the old fort with us. Sadly, the fort's spirits were not that cooperative that night as in our previous investigations, but they were active in other ways.
One thing that stood out to me was that the mysterious lights that many of us witnessed in the June and July events were not as active. I only witnessed one odd light, and that was in the western portion of the fort when we were in the former firing range. There was no logical explanation for this light as it was not located where there were any guests and no one was using flash photography or flashlights at that time. This light was also seen by another guest as well.
For me, the former firing range was the most active area for us. Of course, being fascinated by history I was excited to see all of the bullet holes in the lumber. But, the spirits were very active in this area. A guest's Estes Method session provided many amazing responses that we will be cataloguing. When I had put down an offering of whiskey, cigarettes, cigar and playing cards, the spirits were very excited, becoming very talkative through the Estes and Phasmabox. The laser grid became very active when these gifts were put down.
The former bowling alley continued to impress me. It is not surprising as the western area of the fort became a favorite for soldiers in the 1900's as recreational facilities were built in this section to improve morale. We were not getting great luck with the Phasmabox and Estes Method in this space as the spirits seemed very uncooperative on that day. One thing that stood out was the laser grid picked up much movement when women were standing behind it.
The area near the tunnels was not as active for me, which was a shame as in the past we encountered several spirits that were not only cooperative, but very aware of the current surroundings. The former medical dispensary was also a bit different in August. There was the strong energy present, but it was hiding out in an adjacent room and seemed a bit agitated. When I had turned off a noisy piece of equipment, a very disappointed spirit let me have it through the Phasmabox.
Christiana, who led the other group, said her most meaningful moment was when she asked what a spirit wanted. The immediate response from the Phasmabox was "justice". This relatively simple statement is very impactful due to the many tragedies that occurred within the walls of the fort, some of them murders in which there was no justice.
One of the most memorable moments for me, was not about a spirit, but of a baby skunk. As I was running back to our command center to get another battery, thanks to battery drain, I had to stop when I saw a little skunk casually moseying his way out from the room, followed by a guest who had no fear about startling a skunk. It was somewhat an amusing moment for me.
As of this writing, we are still reviewing all of the evidence from that investigation. When we finish, we will publish that as a video on our YouTube channel. Be the first to know when it uploads by subscribing to our YouTube channel. You can subscribe to our channel by clicking here. We will be building out our channel more this year and will include videos from many of our older investigations.
