I can only shout PRAISE GOD for all He did during filming. Each day was filled with His wonders, bringing "to life" His Gospel, turning every challenge into the fulfillment of His purposes... And I shout PRAISE GOD for you who donated to make John a reality - some of you going back years... |

"So how was it?" you ask. Let's just say the book will one day be written. Lives were changed; the presentation of Jesus was breathtaking; the Spirit-bathed moments captured on film were constant and overwhelming... I don't have words to explain His hand and tangible presence even in the midst of remarkable difficulties. |

Yes, every day was grueling, working in temps over 100. Yes, the schedule was relentless and the challenges were constant. Yes, I've never been more "spent" in my life... And yes, it was GLORIOUS! And again, I can't say thank you enough for your support and your praying. Through you the Lord "has done it!" Glory to Jesus! |

As you've noticed I'm keeping details close to the vest as I feel the Lord has led me. And I've yet to introduce you to the actor who played Jesus - an outstanding brother whose love of the Lord and passion for souls were the cornerstones of His anointed portrayal. Thank you for understanding as I seek God's timing (which is never our own). |

"So where do we go from here, Bruce?" With "principal photography" complete, we turn toward "Phase 3" of the making of John - post production. We essentially "start over" with a whole new team and budget (yes, the costs keep coming) for editing, color correction, visual effects, music, etc. Post production is as intense as the actual filming and will take the better part of the coming year... |

...All to say, "Stick with me, my friends." Even as the dust settles on our long-prayed-for shoot, we've still a ways to go. But the fruitfulness and harvest before us will make it all seem like nothing, for... ..."the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation" (Romans 1:16) even as God's Word "never returns void" (Isaiah 55:11)! |

This is one of my favorite photos from the shoot. You would never guess It was taken in the middle of one of our hottest days with temps reaching 115. But what joy we were experiencing; what tremendous glory, basking in the fullness of God's faithfulness and watching His Gospel unfold! Thank you again to you who gave. It is everything in me to not mention all your names for we are so deeply thankful for your heart of sacrifice unto the Lord; for your faithfulness and generosity. |
