NEWS FROM MRS. TOBERGTE

Dear St. Patrick Families,

I hope you have enjoyed the first few weeks of summer vacation.  We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back in August, but before we get there I wanted to let you know about a few changes to expect in the new school year.  We are updating our website to include information about our classroom and support teachers, including a brief biography about each one, and more detailed information regarding special learning programs and support available to students.  We hope this helps your ability to more easily access information you need day to day.  Also, our back to school forms will be completed electronically this year.  We will send those out closer to the start of the new school year.  All of these changes are meant to improve our communication with you and are based upon feedback we have received from you.  We are excited for a great 2021-2022 school year!

We have 3 new staff members joining our school.  First, we are excited to welcome back Allison Hernandez.  Ms. Hernandez will be teaching 5th grade this year, having previously taught both 4th and 3rd grades for us.  She is an experienced Catholic school teacher with 10 years of experience in schools in New York, Florida, and here.  Additionally, we are delighted to welcome Jessica Cuneo as our new part-time LEAP teacher.  Ms. Cuneo has taught gifted students in elementary and middle school for over 15 years.  She will bring fresh perspectives and expertise to our program, and we are so happy to have her.   We are also thrilled to welcome our new part-time Assistant Principal, Alicia Reid.  Ms. Reid is a Nationally Board Certified educator with over 30 years of experience in various fields of education.  She has a diverse teaching background in elementary through high school classrooms, special education, English Learners, and administration.  She is the product of Catholic schools in the Bronx, NY, and her undergraduate degree was completed at Belmont Abbey College.  Ms. Reid will also serve the MACS system part time as the Coordinator of Collegiate Relations, working closely with the Marketing Department.  She will be housed full time at St. Patrick.  I know you will join me in welcoming Ms. Hernandez, Ms. Cuneo, and Ms. Reid to our school family!

We also have some classroom teachers changing grade levels.  Our new pairings are as follows:

Kindergarten: Ms. Nagel and Ms. McLane

1st Grade: Ms. Taaffe and Ms. Wenning

2nd Grade: Mr. Dries and Ms. Prickitt

3rd Grade: Mr. Castro and Ms. Ligon

4th Grade: Ms. Carroll and Ms. Honeycutt

5th Grade: Ms. Hernandez and Mr. Lynch

We are looking forward to seeing you all in August.  More communication will come from us in a few weeks, so stay tuned.  Enjoy the rest of your summer!

God's Blessings,

Amy Tobergte
