SFYAD celebrated Earth Day 2021 with 7-day eco challenge

 

In the spirit of environmental and spiritual preservation, SFYAD hosted a 7-day Eco-Challenge between 4/15-4/22, and held a Eco-Challenge Sharing Lunch Gathering on 4/25. 14 youths answered the call with 197 activities ranging from reducing water, paper & power usage, prioritizing vegetarian or plant-rich diet to spiritual pursuits like meditation, exercising daily, etc.

North America YAD held 2021 White Elephant Executive Workshop Online

 

On April 17 & 24, over 30 NA YAD members attended the first virtual White Elephant Executive Workshop, among which were 4 SFYAD officers. Participants created 4 event proposals for NA YAD to host collaboratively, and SFYAD took on the responsibility of hosting Digital Content Workshop Series together with Los Angelas 2 YAD and San Diego YAD. 

SFYAD recites a prayer in 13 different languages and dialects

 

In celebration of Buddha's Birthday, BLIA San Francisco Chapter organized a Venerable Master Hsing Yun's Prayer Recitation Competition. 16 SFYAD members competed as a team by reciting in 13 different languages and dialects.
