Your CV: Co-Curricular Activities In addition to listing your education and teaching experience on your resume, it's also important to mention the activities and clubs you've led in the past and could lead in the future. Perhaps you've coached a team, ran the MUN club, maybe even created something new and exciting? All this is vital information for any future school looking at your candidacy, since they will want to know what you can offer after school. In some cases, offering a co-curricular activity is a contractual obligation with a minimum number of hours to fulfill. So what to offer? Think of your passions and interests. An added bonus would be if it's outside of your subject area - it could be the spark that brightens your day when you need a positive lift. Are you a Science teacher who loves to sing a cappella? Or maybe a PE teacher who has a knack for making pottery and ceramics? What a great way to model being well-rounded and having a variety of interests to your students! Read on for more ideas... |
