Cooperative Design Lab This past spring, NOW partnered with 15 community champions from across the country to embark on a journey of reimagining funding structures to center, honor, and uphold the values of local communities and coalitions. The group began to explore cooperatives as a model for restructuring funding in a way that uplifted partnership rather than power. Together we learned and imagined, centering the practice of self-determination as a core principle of cooperatives movements and structures, while also celebrating the wide array of wisdom, knowledge, and talents that exist within our communities. Read this blog post, Reimagining Funding Partnership, by Ronda Alexander and Camila Beiner, to learn more.

Peer Learning Clusters Launch This past year, community leaders launched three Peer Learning Clusters, focusing on Family Engagement, ACES/Trauma Informed Practice, and Early Childhood Education (ECE) Workforce Development. These clusters seek to create spaces for peer learning and connections with other leaders and advocates from across the country, to share stories and identify solutions, unpack blocks, share strategies, and connect with fellow leaders. These three clusters are reconvening again in January 2022. Click on the link below to learn more and get connected to one or more of these clusters.
