Dear friends,

I hope you had a good Summer.

 

As for me, I took the opportunity to rest, read, walk, swim and practice and teach Yoga on the Pier in Alassio with my friends of the local studio Essere Yoga e Benessere. Should you happen to travel there I highly recommend it. The classes will continue until October 3rd, every morning from 8 to 9 AM and they are free.

 

Practicing at sunrise, feeling the energy of all the elements - the water of the sea, the morning breeze, the rays of the first sun, the earth that supports my body and the wide space around me - is a unique experience every time. It  makes me feel part of the "whole", reaching that oneness I seek in my Yoga practice.

 

The five elements - earth, water, fire, air and ether - are part of us. A Sanskrit saying goes "Tatha brahmande, yatha pindande" that is "as in the macro-cosmos, so in the micro-cosmos" or in simpler words "your body is a universe in miniature". What is outside (macro-cosmos) is also within us (micro-cosmos) and vice-versa and one is a reflection of the other. Understanding this relationship and relating to these elements in a spiritual way, allows us to find harmony with everything around us and achieve a greater knowledge of ourselves.

 

Talking about this, I am pleased to send the link to an interview I recently released and which includes some toughts on these topics, in particular with regard to food and the way we eat according to Yoga and Ayurveda. I take this opportunity to send you below the updated schedule of the weekly online classes which will start on September 21st and the events that will take place shortly. I recommend the online Hormone Yoga workshop on October 2nd in cooperation with Sampoorna Yoga Studio. The Relax XXL classes will resume at the end of October, I'll send the dates in the next newsletter.
