GCFB Updates - Fall 2020

We hope this newsletter finds you well! Below are some important updates highlighting forestry news & events pertaining to Garrett County and Maryland! Due to continued COVID-19 restrictions, our office remains closed to the public until further notice. The Forestry Board is still active and has been holding virtual meetings! We encourage you to visit us online at https://gcforestryboard.wixsite.com/gcfb and www.facebook.com/garrettcountyforestryboard

Happy Fall!

Fall foliage is reaching its mid-point in portions of the county. Red and sugar maples are especially colorful along roadsides and ridgetops and some of the county should be seeing peak color in the next week or two. The MD DNR Fall Foliage report is published weekly (Thursdays) with updates throughout the state.

For more localized updates, check out our fall foliage album on our Facebook page.
