HAPPY MONDAY!

Dear, CH Community -

I truly understand that what we're going through at this time is completely out of our control and therefore leaving us in fear, uncertainty and (possible) frustration. Due to this time, I encourage you to focus on what is in your control.

One of the major factors that we are temporarily removed from is physical interaction. That part of what makes our wellness whole. That said, we really need to lean into making sure our bodies are receiving the love and care they deserve in other ways so we can come out of this (because we will!) well and ready to take on the world again. What does this look like?

With love and gratitude ✨🙏🏽

NEWS & UPDATES:

Our gut is our second brain and it's health is so important in order to have optimal wellness. I haven't been a fan of the majority of probiotics out there due to the efficacy of them being compromised by the acidity of our stomach .... but then this amazing company came along.

That said, CH has partnered with SEED. An evolutionary synbiotic (both prebiotic & probiotic) company. Please research and when you're done filling your brains with sophisticated information - use code CANDIDHEALTH15 for 15% off your first subscription!

I hope you enjoy this month's newsletter and thank you for your continued support.

If you know of someone that could benefit, or would find this newsletter useful, please forward or show them where to subscribe!

❤️

Enjoy!

Where are you keeping your seeds?

Once grounded, hemp, chia and flaxseeds release very delicate oils.

So, once you’ve opened them, always place in an airtight container and place the refrigerator to avoid spoilage and oxidation

(nutritional loss & value).

Focusing on what is in your control

I truly understand that what we're going through at this time is completely out of our control and therefore leaving us in fear, uncertainty and (possible) frustration. Due to this time, I encourage you to focus on what isin your control.

One of the major factors that we are temporarily removed from is physical interaction. That part of what makes our wellness whole. That said, we really need to lean into making sure our bodies are receiving the love and care they deserve in other ways so we can come out of this (because we will!) well and ready to take on the world again. What does this look like?

- Making sure you're filling your home with non-toxic materials, scents, cleaning materials, etc. 🌿 The air in our homes is typically more toxic than outside if we're not careful about what we're releasing into our little atmosphere. If you need to re-up on some non-toxic cleaners, Honeydipped Essentials has a new cleaning product collection out NOW.

You can use code: CH15 for 15% off.

And to get some ideas on where to start, you can check out EWG's Skin Deep to explore whether or not your products are safe for you and your home.

- Eating whole, real foods 🍽 I know you hear this often but there's a genuine (scientific) reason. You don't want to suppress your immune system with, processed, high-sugar foods. These kinds of foods are only going to place you in a vulnerable position heading back into your normal routine when this is over. Because it will be over!

- Practicing daily movement 🏃🏽‍♀️ Even if it's a quick stretch. Keep the blood flowing throughout your veins and lymph nodes. This allows the blood to transfer nutrients easier throughout your body.

- Limiting your alcohol intake 🥃 Aside from damaging your king detoxing organ (liver), consuming too much alcohol can cause brain swelling, increased blood sugar and pressure, deplete you of nourishing vitamins and minerals and severely impact your gut health by contributing to the overgrowth of bad gut bacteria.

- Your mindset 💭 I've received some texts and spoken with a couple of people who feel alone when it comes to lack of motivation but that is just not true. It's okay to feel uneasy, unmotivated or just wanting to rest. Those are some of the beautiful silver linings during this time. It's forcing us to take that break or challenging us to find new ways to become motivated. Remember to be kind to yourself.

- Your time ⏳ What are you consuming; who are you allowing to fill your time and why?

Can you think of any shifts that can be made?

My heart is with all of you during this time and if you have any questions, please feel free to respond to this email.

With love and gratitude ✨🙏🏽

FUN FACTS :

- Zinc helps over 2,000 enzymes function in order to keep your cells healthy and forming correctly.

(red onion, beans, lentil, peas, green tea)

- Grilling meat creates 8x more carcinogens (cancer-forming substances) than deep frying does.

(not to say deep frying is any better but, you know)

- Shiitake mushrooms increase the levels of natural killer cells (white blood cells) and immunoglobulin A (protein). These are two of the important immune system components for fighting off viral attacks.

SPOTLIGHT INGREDIENT:

Cucumbers

It's getting warm and, if you're in Arizona, it's already blazing! So that calls for more ways we can hydrate ourselves *cues cucumber*

Although we need water, we can often forget of the water we can also get from the nourishing foods we eat like cucumbers, watermelon and spinach. Yes, spinach.

Some Benefits: supports heart health, hydrating, anti-inflammatory, fiber-rich, vitamin K rich (bone health), reduces bad breath, aids in neurological health.

USES: Salads, lemonades, smoothies, sushi

What to look for when buying 🔎:

They almost missed the mark on EWGs "Dirty Dozen" so try to buy organic and non-GMO.

Action of the Month:

Asking "what" not "why".

"In addition to helping us gain insight to our problems, the "What Not Why" tool can also be used to help us better understand and manage our emotions.

Example: If you're in a bad mood at work, instead of asking, "why am I in a bad mood?" which creates more confusion, ask "what am I feeling right now?" This provokes a problem-solving mindset to proceed with the next steps on what you need to do to make yourself feel better.
