August happenings

Well, 2019 is turning out to be a very busy year and when one door closes another seems to open. Fortunately, I have been selected as a finalist for the Marie Ellis Prize for Drawing, opening this week in Brisbane. 2019 Marie Ellis OAM Prize for Drawing

This drawing, Consumer Prize Index, has been selected as a finalised for the 2019 Marie Ellis OAM Prize for Drawing. My entry reflects on my year of not buying clothes and the consumer trap we fall into that buying new clothes will provide emotional happiness. This pencil drawing is a self portrait done on two sides of a paper shopping bag, which has been repurposed. 

The winner will be announced at the opening event:
