Hey friends!

I've been reviewing some of my BQ journals and realized how I've tucked in the #ArmorofGod different ways. From bookmarks to entries in my ABC Bible Quilt, this powerful concept has infiltrated my journals over the years and I love the variety of reminders to Armor UP in whatever season we're in.

 The Armor of God

We're more than halfway through our monthly verses.

Here's how my page is shaping up... and check out Deb & Linda's too!

What are you learning as you work on your monthly pages, the  SHIELD, or your freestyle pages?

I recently was blessed to have some Bible Quilting time with my son and his girlfriend before they headed back to college for the fall semester. We had a sweet time together decorating the Armor of God page. (Thanks to Alice, our Alabama BQ friend who designed this template.)

Click out the link below to check out all the template options Mary Jo designed for us to further explore each element of the Lord's Armor. You can see more in the replay of our last Zoom chat where this template set was introduced.

The Elements of the Armor of God

Once you've done a page on the Armor of God passage from Ephesians 6, you may want to explore each element a little further.

Bible Quilting the Armor of God

Each element of the Armor of the Lord represents a unique way we're being equipped to serve the kingdom.

Ready to expand how you're using the Armor of God throughout your journals? Try creating a Prayer page using some of the verses from this month's list.

As our kiddos head back to school, consider making specific prayer pages over them. Here's an example of one I did on an ABC Patchwork template for one my sons a couple years ago. Each letter serves as a mental cue as I pray for him on my morning walks, capturing each attribute A to Z.

Back-to-school Prayers from A to Z

Each year we hope our kids mature in their spiritual walk just as they're growing in other areas, right? Prayer is a great way to start.

As you reclaim your house from the busy-ness of summer activities and start transitioning into the next season, you may want to add some prayer pages on home, family & community to your BQ journal.

Here are some tabs to help you get started:

This is a set of tabs for a variety of prayer topics you may be making pages for in your Bible Quilt Journal.
