The Karen Carrington Show January Newsletter |

Before I get started with this newsletter, I just want to see how you're feeling? Everything ok? If anyone hasn't told you today, I want to say I love you. You know, as I'm writing, I'm looking at the photo of me in the cold and it reminded me of the time I was asked to do this photoshoot wearing heels, and a sparkle catsuit in the freezing snow, I was like seriously? For those of you who follow me, y'all know I'm NOT a fan the cold. So when I was selected to do this photoshoot, I told myself "I can't. But I quickly reminded myself, whatever I cannot do, I MUST do. For me, just thinking about cold weather is painful. But not as painful as some of my past life experiences. Like a few years back when I didn't get the job of my dreams, or when a relationship I thought was going to work didn't work, Heck! Not only did it not work, it never even started, I was ghosted. Or that time when I made a detrimental financial mistake. Ouch, that one really hurt. Most of us go to great lengths to avoid discomfort. But pain is a profound teacher. We need to embrace it and learn from it. So next time, instead of letting pain dictate your life, choose to learn from those experiences and move on. No more dwelling. Sound good? Awesome. Now let's dive into this January newsletter. |

I have been so blessed to work with a large global network over the years and each month we have some worldwide powerhouses to celebrate! So get out your confetti and a glass of champagne. You ready to celebrate? Yasss! Let’s gooo! |
The January celebration kicks off with my amazing friend, Certified Divorce Coach & Parental Alienation Specialist, Susan Shofer from Maryland. Hey, did you know January is Divorce Month? Couples usually wait until after Christmas to call it quits. And let's face it, the pandemic has a lot of couples saying "This marriage is DONE!" So, if that's you and you've made the decision to go your separate ways, this powerhouse is one of my audience's favorite go-to experts. |
The January festivities keep on rolling with my incredible friend, Personal Finance Expert, Joyce Rojas from New Jersey. For many of us January is a time to get our finances in order and Joyce helps thousands rewire their thoughts around money so they can create the abundance they deserve. Her best selling book "31 Badass Money Mindset Affirmations" teaches readers how to overcome mental obstacles around money and to become aware of belief systems that are holding them back. Whoa! Now that's a party! |
Next up, the music is still blasting at top volume at the January celebration for my dear friend, Personal Trainer Nathalie Lewis Maxwell who has been on my show in Season 8. For many of us, January is a month to reach our fitness goals. Working with an experienced personal trainer has proven to be 80% faster at getting you to your goals than doing it alone. |
Whew! That was a wild celebration full of achievements, good music and great vibes. As we wind down the party, remember, the key to success is to always celebrate yourselves! |

The Karen Carrington Show foodie surveys results are in! I absolutely love hearing what my 50K social media followers are loving and not loving in the kitchen! We get thousands of votes from around the world! Drum roll please! How do you like grilled salmon? 89 % Voted YES 11 % Voted NO Here's a quick way to grill salmon: Slice the salmon fillet into pieces before grilling. This makes it way easier to flip! Season with lemon pepper, garlic powder, and salt. You may want to rub the salmon with olive oil, then sprinkle on the seasoning. This prevents the fish from sticking to the grill, and it helps to create a crispy exterior. Grill for about 5 minutes per side. You'll know it's done when it flakes easily with a fork. Enjoy! Ok! Make sure you're jumping in my social media stories to place your votes for next month! |
