Pre-Order Your Free Range Chickens |
Our first batch of chickens will be available in mid September. We will be selling fresh, whole birds. If you're interested in trying locally raised chicken, pre-order your chickens now for pickup on our farm. Our meat birds are pastured birds, meaning they have access to forage freely outdoors and have access to pasture with all the insects, seeds, plants and worms a chicken could want. This is a natural diet for chickens. We use organic practices which means we do not use antibiotics, hormones or commercially fertilize or spray with pesticides. We use a natural pasture rotation system with our animals and let mother nature do her work. |

Dahlia and Emiliano playing with the aquaponics filtration system ... ahem, I mean, checking on the microgreen seedlings ... |

Every week we seed more than 50 trays of microgreens with new soil medium and Bryan's not-exactly-patented, but definitely proprietary process for bringing you hearty, crunchy and flavorful microgreens. |

This year was our first time growing melons. We ended up with only a handful of watermelons, shown above. Sometimes that happens in farming and plantings don't go as planned. We've learned not to get frustrated but take as much knowledge in as we can, and do better next time. |

Pretty soon these Sun Gold Cherry Tomatoes will be gone (I mean, Fall is around the corner). We're not sure how that happened, but we are sure to be canning as many tomatoes as we can in the next few weeks so we can remember summer's sweet sunlight in the winter months. |
As we plan for next year, we're considering expanding our cut flower selection. Dahlias, peonies and tulips will definitely be on deck. Let us know if you have some other favorites we should add to the mix. |
