I challenge you to go beyond data collection and really connect with those you serve.  It's always been a win-win for me; I get to learn a little more about their experiences, preferences, and life.  When we connect with families, it helps to build a more collaborative network of individuals all working together. and you build trust and safety with the family.

Lastly. I want to celebrate YOU!! The SLP who has either continued to work full-time part time, PRN, or the one who has taken some time off. We celebrate you all and the impact you are having and have had on those you serve.  Don't ever let anyone else's work or progress make you diminish your own.  We have the ability to be everything we need to be to those we serve, right where we are!! 

If no one has told you today, you are a valuable asset to the lives of those you serve.  Your hard work is making an impact.  You are appreciated for your work in spite of all the challenges, and the field needs you to continue learning, growing and serving with your heart!
