IMPORTANT REMINDER TO PARENTS: Our first bell rings at 7:50AM and the tardy bell rings at 8:00AM. Students arriving after 8:00AM are tardy. All students arriving after 8:00AM, when the gym doors close, must be brought into the school by a parent and signed in for the day in the front office. |

The blacktop looks AMAZING! The students love it. Thank you to all the volunteers who spent the day painting. New blacktop games include rock/paper/scissor ladder, an obstacle course, mirror me and the floor is lava game. In addition, the kickball bases and chess board were given a fresh coat of paint. |

Kids Rule the School is back! The kids will take over St. Patrick on May 27th. Be on the look-out for additional information to come. For the remainder of the school year, parents are invited to have lunch with their child on their child’s birthday. As usual, please sign in in the office. Every Friday, as a school, we attend Mass. Students are required to wear their Mass uniform. If students have PE on Friday they should wear their Mass uniform, they will be given the opportunity to change into their PE uniform after Mass. Parents, just a reminder, the bell rings at 8:00am. If you arrive after the bell, please walk your child/children into the building to sign them in. Thank you. Blessings, Dr. Reid |

IMPORTANT- COVID Protocol For all COVID related issues/questions please email Dr. Reid, Nurse Tobben, and Mrs. Robbins: ahreid@stpatrickschool.net kstobben@stpatrickschool.net kkrobbins@stpatrickschool.net All Positive Cases: The student with a COVID-19 positive test result may not come to school. Further direction regarding return dates will be provided by one of the staff listed above. Siblings of the student with the positive test result may come to school if they are fever and symptom free. All positive cases reported after 3:00PM Monday through Friday will be addressed the following school day. All positive cases reported over the weekend will be addressed the next day that school is in session. If your child has symptoms (runny nose, sore throat, fever, upset stomach, coughing, headache, etc.) please keep them home from school. If your child tests positive for COVID-19, please contact the school for return dates. Student Work: Parents of students who are missing school for COVID-19 may request a work packet from the classroom teacher. Once requested, it will be available for pick up in the front entry of the school between 2:45-3:15PM the day after the request was made. All other absences please reference the Student Handbook for our guidelines. |

CARPOOL DIRECTIONS ***Buchanan Street is one way on school days from 7-9AM and is being monitored by CMPD*** For carpool, cars will continue to use the blacktop, entering from Pierce St. when picking up students. Upon exit of the parking lot, turn right onto Buchanan St. and go to Dilworth Road East. You may turn left or right on Dilworth Road East. You may not turn left out of the parking lot onto Buchanan St. See the map below for a visual. |

PARENT HANDBOOK & DRESS CODE Please take a moment to read our St. Patrick School Handbook and dress code to familiarize yourself with our rules and regulations. You will sign an electronic form indicating you have read the Handbook in our Online Form (above). A few reminders on our dress code: - Only uniform fleeces and sweaters may be worn indoors, no other jackets, hoodies, etc will be permitted except for during outside play. - Shirts must be neatly tucked in - Girls' hair must be neatly styled, with no dyes, and accessories must be simple and in keeping with our uniform - Boys' hair may not touch the collar of their shirt or cover their ears, and bangs must be above the eyes - alternative hair styles are not permitted - Socks for girls and boys must match and may be white, black, green or navy - Electronic watches may not have texting/internet or calling capabilities even if those are disabled during the school day. - No sandals, Tevas, boots, open back shoes or slides of any kind may be worn - Rain or snow boots may be worn during inclement weather when appropriate |

BACKGROUND CHECKS & PROTECTING GOD'S CHILDREN Any parent who would like to volunteer in their child's classroom, on field trips, for parties or even come to lunch with their student must have completed Protecting God's Children and a background check. Create an account on www.virtusonline.org. You may take the online class. You will then be directed to create an account with Sterling and enter your information for a background check. Once you have completed the PGC class, you are required to keep up to date on monthly bulletins to stay active. Please contact Dawn O'Connor with any questions. |

BIRTHDAY TREATS As we did last year, students will not be permitted to bring treats from home to celebrate their birthdays with their class. Families have the option to purchase ice cream from the cafeteria for the birthday boy/girl and/or for the whole class to celebrate a birthday. Ice cream orders must be placed with Mrs. Loeber, the cafeteria manager, at least one week prior to the date to ensure enough ice cream is available for the class to participate.
