Celebrating LGBTQI literature during Pride weeks in both Auckland and Wellington, and introducing a new gay author on the scene, Brendaniel Weir with the publication of Tane's War, Cloud Ink Press thanks both UBIQ and Unity Books for hosting the launches of Tane's War. Brendaniel also featured on Māori Television on the 28th of February. Tane's War follows the fictional story of a Māori soldier who has an affair with a British officer during the war. The UBIQ launch tied in with the Auckland SameSameButDifferent literary festival and included a panel discussion prior to the launch that Brendaniel was a part of, Queering the Academy. Unity Books hosted the Wellington based launch of Tane’s War. To read more about the launch, have a read of this blog article posted on the Unity Books website. As well as being available from bookstores around the country, Tane's War is available from our Cloud Ink Press online shop for purchase. |
