July 2017 Update

Check out what we've been up to

and what's coming up.

Travelling south between Hokitika and Westport we came across these two young ladies standing beside the road and holding a sign sying 'Jumper Leads' What a magical spot to

leave your lights on and what a cool little retro Toyota camper. It just kept on motoring.

CSC Testing Officer Directory and Resources

Well there's definitely nothing like jumping in the deep end as we did to become an issuing authority for CSC testing. It was worth it and we haven't come close to drowning yet.

There has been a huge amount of work done behind the scenes (wipes brow). We have also had some fantastic support and suggestions from members and others. We are adding new testing officers and issuing certificates at a manageable pace.

If you completing checklists please make sure contact name, address and the vehicle details are written clearly.

We have gone down the CSC road to make sure that NZ campers are supported whether the belong to an organisation or not. Being a CSC Issuing Authority does not mean that we believe this is the best system for NZ - it may not be. Responsible camping / Leave No Trace has to be the ultimate goal.

We are looking for commercial sponsorship to help cover the costs in setting the new system up.
