What can I tell you about Rachel...? If you read book 1 you would know that Rachel is a little stubborn, but she has good cause, due to her past. And David...the ultimate and perfect man, one of every woman’s dreams. (He’s enough to make you swoon, isn’t he?) Only Rachel discovers he’s not so perfect—we all have flaws, yet God still loves us.
I wanted this book to be thought provoking, to allow you to consider situations you may or may not find yourself in or maybe, given this situation, you might do things differently. In addition, maybe there are elements from Rachel’s past you can relate to. Whichever aspect hits home with you, I hope you will enjoy this book.

Synopsis
Rachel Brenner never thought she would find a love like this, one that took her breath away. David Anderson makes her feel things she’s never felt before. He steals her heart unexpectedly and she will happily give him anything he desires. Even marriage, the one thing that she said she would never endure again. But it isn’t enough; he wants more, more than she is willing to give. It is a path God wants her on, but she doesn’t know how to overcome the pain of her past. Will David’s love be enough?
David wants marriage and a mother to his children. It’s what he needs more than anything. With each passing day, his longing for Rachel is greater, his love for her overwhelming, as he fights the constant battle with his mind and physical needs of a man who has abstained for two years. He has to convince her to marry him—soon. Make her see what they could have if they were to become one.
Although he is an upstanding Christian man, dedicated to the church, the sins of his past could come back to haunt him, through the one and only person he is closest to. And he is afraid that revealing that part of himself could ultimately cause a rift between him and Rachel, and he doesn’t want to lose her. But can he trust her? Trust her to be faithful to him and only him? Not to be taken in by the attention of his rival? And does she love him enough to give him the one thing he promised so long ago?

Excerpt
When he arrived home, Rachel was waiting for him.
“You’re late,” she said, stating the obvious and quirking an eyebrow.
He placed his keys and mobile on the table beside the door. “I’m sorry, things became difficult.” He pulled her into his arms and went to kiss her, but he did not get his usual response. She averted her mouth from his and gave him a half hearted hug instead, then pulled away abruptly. “Are you okay?” He wondered what was wrong.
“Yes, I’m fine. Are you ready for dinner?” Rachel asked heading for the kitchen. She was annoyed. Why had he taken so long? She could smell another woman’s perfume on him. No doubt Karen’s perfume. Did he have sex with her? She felt pain stab her heart as her mind ran riot thinking of what he must have been doing why he was so late and reeking of her perfume. He offered no explanation. “I’m sorry, things became difficult.” What was that supposed mean? She remembered he’d told her that Karen wanted him back and would dress provocatively for him and make advances towards him when he went to pick up the girls. Something had happened between them, she was convinced of it.
David felt guilty for keeping her so long, knowing she had to get home. “Let me go and see the girls first.”
“They’re getting ready for bed. I need to leave soon too,” she informed him as he made his way upstairs.
“Okay, I won’t be long.” He regretted staying out so long. He’d wasted a whole evening and had not achieved anything, and he wanted to spend some time with Rachel. He headed into the girls’ room.
“Daddy!” they exclaimed at the same time, rushing into his arms.
“We waited for you, but Rachel said we had to get washed for bed,” Sophie said.
“You smell like Mummy, Daddy. Did you go to see her?” Keira asked.
Oh no. No wonder Rachel reacted they way she did. Oh Lord…! How was he going to explain how Karen’s perfume came to be on him? He hadn’t intended on telling her that part. It did not look good at all. He was in trouble.
