Incredible map of Stockton

 

An incredibly detailed map was made in 1887 of Stockton, just 3 years after Ernest Warner acquired the right to build Woodley Cottage at 80 Maitland St. We've overlayed the map with the modern map from Google to see how things have changed.

Did you know?

 

George and Jeanettas second son George died of typhoid at the age of 23 on the Coolgardie goldfields. Just months later an incredible engineering project to pipe water to the goldfields was commissioned.
