GUEST SPEAKER
 
Beth Key, Vice President, Southport Elementary PTA, was the guest speaker.  The PTA is hosting the Dolphin Dash on March 11, 2016, in order to raise funds for the school.  Beth passed out Adopt-A-Dolphin envelopes for members to assist in the fundraising.  Accompanying Mrs. Page was Ashley Herrington, Southport Elementary PTA President.  If you would like to donate to the cause: https://www.paypal.me/southportPTA

Jeff Mount reported that this week's Interact meeting grew by 4 new members.  The End Polio Now t-shirt (below) has been ordered for the students to wear at school and at their Purple Pinkie event (date TBD).

 
The students also received the End Polio Now bracelet (below) to wear.  They were very excited and heard about Rotary International's efforts in the arena of worldwide polio eradication.

Joe Crostic, Southport Kiwanis President, spoke about their efforts to eradicate neonatal tetanus.  The Kiwanis are hosting a concert/dance featuring Mike's Garage Band on Friday, Februrary 26, from 5:30-9:30 at 101 Stone Chimney Place in Supply.  Tickets are only $12.00 (bring your own food and drink): email Joe at joe.crostic@gmail.com
We appreciate everything Kiwanis does in our community -- the picture shows their support for New Hope Clinic (here's Joe with our very own Sheila Roberts, Executive Director, New Hope Clinic.
