State of the Fraternity Esteemed Alumni Fraters, Parents, Faculty and Friends of the Fraternity, The summer months are finally upon us, and all our brothers are surely enjoying some well-earned time off from school. Whether they are filling their days with internships, work or classes, this time of the year offers the perfect opportunity for our fraters to rest and recharge their batteries. Fall semester will be here before we know it. While enjoying the time off, our executive board has been hard at work planning and preparing for the upcoming semester. Events our chapter is particularly looking forward to this coming semester include another successful recruitment campaign, the annual St. Jude Walk/Run and a weekend long off campus brotherhood retreat. In this edition you will find an update from the EK Alumni Association, information about our four newest officers and a section dedicated to honoring our recently graduated fraters. The graduating class of 2017 has played a pivotal role in this organization’s recent success. Many of these men held officer positions for multiple years. Their vision and leadership proved instrumental in propelling Epsilon Kappa towards becoming a top tier chapter, both at Loyola and across TKE-nation. We will miss them, and wish them nothing but the absolute best in both their professional and personal endeavors. I hope you have a productive and relaxing rest of the summer. I especially look forward to updating you all on our progress in the fall! Fraters, I Love This Fraternity! Yours In The Bond, Harry D. Conkey IV, #877 Prytanis |

Happy Summer All Alumni Fraters, The EK Chapter Alumni Advisory Board hope you all have enjoyed a fabulous Summer 2017 celebrating warm weather and holidays with family, friends and Fraters!! The 2017-2018 academic year at Loyola University will soon begin. The Alumni Advisory Board has planned a terrific event in September to celebrate a new academic term at Loyola University and bring together Alumni Fraters and EK Undergrad Tekes. The 2017-2018 Academic Term “Kick-Off” Event is a Bocce Ball Tournament between EK Undergrads and EK Alums. The AAB wants to thank former TKE-EK Prytanis, Dr. Ray Bianchi for making his luxurious bachelor pad and professional outdoor Italian Bocce Ball courts available for this auspicious event. Alumni and Undergrad Fraters will revel competing in this environment as Frater Ray’s courts are “under-the-lights”, complete with a built in sound system (music from "The Godfather", of course), a mahogany bar and spectator stands. Professional Bocce Ball Officials from the Italian Federation are being flown in to referee. Expect delicious pizza as Fraters can dine, imbibe and relax in-between matches alongside a blazing fire pit. Is your mouth watering? Mark your calendar for 3PM, Saturday (Sept. 23) @ 3PM. Matches will begin at 3;30PM. The Bianchi Bachelor Casa is located at: 21466 NORTH THRUSH COURT DEER PARK ILLINOIS 60010 Alumni entry fee for this event is $20.00 “no hollar.” Undergrads compete for $15.00. In other words, a deal no one can refuse! Recommended dress code should identify you as a TKE-EK Alumni, Undergrad or Chicago Organized Crime Member. Or Alumni and Undergrads who are certified (Made) members of TKE-EK Chapter may come as you are. Yours In The Bond and HPMF!! Fraternity for Life The Epsilon Kappa chapter will miss the graduating class of 2017. Their hard work and leadership was imperative to the continued growth and success of the chapter. Its members helped to plan our first Jokes for Jude Philanthropy and earn our multiple Top Chapter awards. Many of our new alumni were able to tell us a bit about their time in TKE and some of their plans for the future. |

Nick Kimble Major: Political Science Minor: Business Administration Why did you choose your major: I am very interested in government and business efficiency. At some point, I would like to run for local office. Post-Graduation Plans: I am an Expansion Coordinator for Tau Kappa Epsilon International Headquarters Pledge Class: Upsilon - Fall 2013 What made you join TKE? I joined TKE because of the strong ideals of the brothers who were in the chapter at the time and for the opportunity to grow something bigger than myself. There was a tremendous amount of leadership opportunity for anyone who was interested. Favorite Memory: The call I received when I found out that three years of hard work had finally paid off and EK was recognized as a Top TKE chapter in the country because of our operations, growth, and brotherhood. It was an honor to enjoy this accomplishment, the second one in EK history, with everyone in the chapter. |

I joined TKE to experience the brotherhood that no other fraternity on campus could provide, to surround myself with men who were driven by success, to create and maintain friendships that could not be provided anywhere else, and to push myself to become a better man, friend, leader, and brother. Favorite Memory: My favorite memory of my four years in TKE came from my time as the philanthropy chair when we hosted the very first Jokes' For St.Jude. Seeing all of the brothers come together to make sure the show went on and we sold out was a feeling that cannot be matched. Raising thousands of dollars that will go toward St.Jude is something that I prided myself on the most when it came to my contribution with TKE, and the first Jokes' For St.Jude provided a night that I will never forget. |
