Best wishes to our largest, and strongest elementary T&F team from London Legion to participate at this weekend's Ontario Elementary T&F Championship.

Lots of hard work by our young athletes and their coaches has been done to prepare for this incredible meet and we look forward to wonderful personal best performances and great leadership in supporting our youngest athletes.

LONDON LEGION EARNS 5TH PLACE INDOOR RANKING AMOUNG ATHLETICS ONTARIO TEAMS

As a leader in Athletics and Athlete Development in Canada, we have been very proud of the leadership our coaches and athletes have demonstrated year over year.

This year we earned, with Athletics Ontario, the ranking of 5th best team in Ontario.  We accomplished this recognition, while most of our athletes in our Youth Division, were selected for Elite US meets, at the same time as the Ontario Youth Championship.

In addtion, we were the only club in the top 5, to develop the overwhelming majority of our elementary athletes with the Ontario Elementary (Minor Track) Association where we are a recognized as one of Ontario's leading clubs in Elementary T&F development.

London Legion Athletes Lead Ontario/Canada T&F Records & National Rankings

At London Legion T&F, our focus has always been on individual performances and developing personal best and record breaking performances.

Congratulations to Olivia Gee for smashing the Ontario Midget Girls 60m hurdle record with a time of 8.77 at the Ontario Midget T&F Championship earlier in March.

Olivia's 8.77 clocking is so very impressive considering the number of Canadian Olympian Hurdlers that up until last year, never broke 9 seconds in their grade 9 year.  So far, in Olivia's young T&F Career, Olivia has bronken records established by Jessica Zelinka and Nikita Holder.  Congratulations Olivia.  Olivia's record brings to over 130 Ontario records set by club athletes during indoor and outdoor competitions.

In addtion to Olivia, Liam Mather and Mikenna Vanderheyden established performances that have them ranked in the top 3 in Canada.  Liam is #1 Canada, as is Olivia.   Eric Pierce, Tess Verhoeven & Daniel O'Brien earned top 10 Canadian indoor rankings this year.

Congratulations athletes and coaches.
