Spring is almost in the air! I am delighted to bring you the newest issue of THE COLLOQUIUM and thank you for taking time to read it. I am really encouraged by the feedback received from our readers. I hope that you’ll find this issue as fascinating and insightful as it has been for us putting it together. This spring marks the 3rd anniversary of the Vancouver Arts Colloquium Society (VACS). An important part of the jourey forward is to remember and celebrate some of our milestones in impact and collaboration which include work with many community partners and artists-in-residence. I am pleased to annouce that we will receive federal funding for our newest project "Creative Intergroup Narrative Drama Initiative (CINDI)" which will explore the aspects of identity and use theatre as a medium. Stay tuned, everyone. I will leave you with another favorite quote, as metaphor is profound: “Life is like a theatre, but the question is not whether you are in the audience or on the stage but rather, are you where you want to be?” - ― A.B. Potts Today I toast our collective identity - here's to many more months celebrating our e-zine THE COLLOQUIUM! Enjoy it, forward it, subscribe, and consider sharing your own stories. Please feel free to send me an email with suggestions/requests regarding this e-zine: keiko@myvacs.org Keiko Honda, Ph.D. President, Vancouver Arts Colloquium Society |

| | Who am I? Why am I here? Our stories are more than the sum of our experiences. They are the frame through which we construct the stories that we tell ourselves and others about what is important. Bigger still, our video narrative series, A Story of Becoming, attempts to explore how we find our stories, our identity, our brilliance. Episode 1: Vancouver City Councillor Adriane Carr | | |
