Students Monthly MRC Meeting Reminder

The Showdown On The Mound 

Saturday was our first competition of the season at FMHS.  Our 8 teams came up against 27 very competitive high school teams from the North Texas area. We are very proud of all our teams! Each had a unique robot design, great sportsmanship and collaborated to help a team in need in the heat of battle!  

Special recognition to team TEX VEX for being awarded the Design Award for excellence in their engineering notebook and interviewing by the judges. CONGRATULATIONS!

TSA Region 11 VEX ONLY Programming & Driving Skills Competition (1 Minute Autonomous and 1 Minute Driving)

Note:  All MRC Teams interested in representing McKamy at the TSA State VEX Skills Competition in Waco, TX April 6-8 MUST attend this competition.

• When: Wednesday, January 25, 2017
• Where:  McKamy Middle School Cafeteria
• Time: 
  • 4:00pm - 6:00 pm Set-Up (All MRC Students - Pizza will be provided)
  • 6:00pm - 8:00 pm Skills Challenge (Tear Down Immediately Following)

McKamy 2nd Annual MS VEX Starstruck Competition

Note:  All MRC Teams have been registered and $75 team entry fee covered!  

• When: Saturday, February 4, 2017 (Set-Up 4pm Friday 2/3)

The Volunteer Sign-Up link above was sent out to each MRC family to volunteer in an area of interest.  We will also have NJHS members, friends and teachers supporting again this signature event for McKamy!  Please share this date with friends interested in robotics....it's an amazing day!!

TSA Region 11 Individual and NQE Entries Competition

• When: Saturday, March 4, 2017 
• Where:  Flower Mound High School
• Projects Deadline: Monday, February 21st to McKamy Robotics Lab
• McKamy MS is paying for up to (2) entry fees PER MRC Student for Region 11 Competition.  Students are welcome to submit additional entries above the (2) at cost of $3 per entry. Cash or Check payable to McKamy Robotics Booster Club due at time of submission.
