BODY ON THE BAYOU WINS THE 2017 LEFTY AWARD FOR MOST HUMOROUS MYSTERY
In one of the most exciting nights of my life, I received this wonderful award at the Left Coast Coast Crime Convention in Honolulu, Hawaii. (Hence the background picture of Diamondhead for this newsletter). I was given a gorgeous engraved Koa box, and celebrated with my Mardi Gras-masked tablemates.
BODY ON THE BAYOU NOMINATED FOR A BEST CONTEMPORARY NOVEL AGATHA AWARD
The Malice Domestic Convention, where the Agatha Awards are announced, is still to come, and I can't wait. This year I'll have the thrill of joining the Simply the Best panel with fellow Best Contemporary Novel nominees Hank Phillippi Ryan, Catriona McPherson, and Barbara Ross. (Louise Penny can't make it. We'll miss her.)
And more exciting news! I can reveal the cover of A CAJUN CHRISTMAS KILLING, the third book in the Cajun Country Mystery series, which I'll do at the end of this newsletter.
But it's April. And in Louisiana, that means it's time for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, aka/ JazzFest. Put it on your bucket list, mon amis. It's the most fun ever.
