April Pack Meeting

Thursday, April 25th, 2019 @ 6:30 PM

As was previously announced, instead of a traditional Pack Meeting, we are going to have an "Open House & Activity Night."  The activity stations will be run by Scouts from area Troops and the Order of the Arrow.  Please remind your Cub Scouts that "A Scout is Courteous."  Many of the Scouts leading the stations will be young and may not have a lot of experience leading Cub Scout aged Scouts.

Pack 375 in School Day & Recruiting

I heard that a lot of Scouts were wearing their Pack 375 shirts at school last Thursday.  I'm so proud!  Thank you for everyone who participated.  I will have a special treat for you at the Pack Meeting.  Scouts who were unable to participate on Thursday are welcome to wear their Pack 375 shirts to school this Wednesday or Thursday and still earn the special prize.

Remember, this would also be a great opportunity for Scouts to earn a Recruiting Patch.  

Advancement

We are just about a month away from the May Advancement Ceremony.  Please check your Scout's progress toward their current rank in Scoutbook.com or check with your Den Leader.  I noticed that a number of Scouts have a number of requirements remaining before they earn their rank.  Keep in mind that some requirements have a time component to them that could be as long as a month.  If these requirements have not been started already, they must be started ASAP in order to advance in May.

May 3 - 5, 2019

We have decided to have a Star Wars themed campout since we will be camping over May 4th (Star Wars Day - "May the 4th be with you").  Throughout the weekend, we will try to encorporate the Star Wars theme into as many activities as possible to help keep it fun and interesting for the Scouts.

Scouts who attend the weekend will be able to complete any remaining outdoor rank requirements.

Service Hour Reporting

another reason to report them

In the April Newsletter, I gave information about reporting Service Hours.  I neglected to mention one, very important reason to report your Service Hours.  As was announced at the March Blue & Gold Banquet, selection for the new Siekman Service Award will be based in part on recorded service hours.
