Tatting with Patti In French there's just one word for both frivolity and tatting: frivolité! But we think this dying art of intricate, lacy knot-making is anything but frivolous. Come in and knot with Patti, who usually knits. Bring your own tatting shuttle, or use one of ours. We'll supply the tatting thread. Monday, April 10, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 4 to 6 p.m. |

Hand-Knotted Prayer / Meditation Beads Did you know that regular contemplative prayer and meditation can change your brain? Researchers are still figuring out how, but the benefits are good! Join us as we use nylon cording to create a couple different varieties of prayer/meditation beads. Suitable for any faith, stringed beads make excellent tools for centering and meditative practices. Wednesday, April 12, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. |

We at SewGreen@Rochester are proud to be participating in an amazing crochet project by Olek! Many crocheters in our area are collaborating with the artist and with one another, creating 351 brightly-colored, 2-foot squares that will be attached together and hung on a wall near our shop. We are a drop-off space for finished squares; we have yarn, hooks and instructions you need if you'd like to participate; and we are hosting meet-ups to provide support and encouragement! |
