Communication Training Wrap-up

We were so glad to see all of you who attended our training session in February. Congratulations to all of our winners of our drawings. We hope you've been able to put your prizes to good use!

There were several items that you asked us to email out to you:

  • The App creation site that Becky referred to was como.com. This site helps you build your own mobile app for both the Google Play store and the Apple App Store. You do have to have an account with both of these platforms, however this site will submit for approval to both on your behalf.
  • Click below to rewatch the video on Social Media, presented by Ernest Staats from Georgia Cumberland Conference.

Response from the Communication Training Session

"The Communications training was a success, both my son and I left feeling that it was worth the long drive, a night at the hotel and the long ride home.

He liked the parts about Facebook, the web and live streaming, he and is now creating a new web presence for our church; and the information on live steaming answered a lot of questions he had had.

I left with a clearer job description and the empowerment of knowledge to do more; like more Church news advertisements and to get our church calendar online, and how best to use the other media available to us.

Also to start a church newsletter and getting more people involved by writing stories about the happenings in the church.

We both were glad for the clarification on copyrights, and use of photos, and press releases, that was always confusing."

Job well done. Again thanks,

Kristy Broughton

Photo/Live Stream Statement for Bulletin

A request was made that we give a sample bulletin blurb to notify those in attendance that their likeness may appear in the church publications, on the website, live stream or social media.

"Please be aware that photo or video may be taken during the service today which may be streamed out live, used online or in our church publications."

Article Submissions

We want to hear your stories! We have made it easy for you to submit articles for publication. Every article that is submitted is used, either in the Carolina Action, in the Southern Tidings, on the conference website or on the conference Facebook page.

Where the item is published is at the discrecion of the Conference Communication Department.
