It was a strange week for me, or maybe a more accurate word would be frustrating. Because I work at home sometimes I feel like I am always working, or feel guilty if I’m not working. And because of launching my new planner kits took most of December to create, brand and announce, I was way behind in my classes and the stress made me a little nuts. Actually if you talk to Tom he might say a lot nuts!

I don’t know about you but I’m not very creative when I’m stressed. Still I tried to muscle through. One afternoon I realized this wasn’t working. I also realized I couldn’t remember the last time I spent an afternoon of reading and suddenly that’s all I wanted to do. So I did. The next day I started work again and realized the project that wasn't working wasn’t as awful as I thought, I just needed fresh eyes. What I really needed was balance, and an afternoon spend with Michael Connelly was the perfect way to give my brain a rest from work.

Perhaps you need more balance in your life also. Maybe the demands of home, family and work have you pulled in way too many directions. I hear ya. I suggest finding a way to give yourself a little self-care and pull away from life just for a while. Like my sweet mother in law would say “You will be better off for it”. Oh,  and I have a few suggestions on how to get away.

Failure is a part of life, not a fun and happy part but none the less and we are all subject to it. Sometimes it’s only a minor bump in the road but other times it’s an epic crash and burn. Yes, we’ve all been there. This journal class reminds us to keep failure in a proper perspective. Easier said than done but maybe by creating a beautiful journal page we can at least try.

Birthday Treats Class

All the holiday decorations are packed away and the last of the Christmas cookie crumbs have been swept. Now it’s time to get back to card making, woo hoo!  Our birthday card stash is getting low so birthday cards are the order of the day. In this class you will make and color four fun cards that will make anyone happy.

I've made a few changes in an effort to better serve you. These are requests I've had over the years and now that I'm on my own I am happy to accomondate my students better.

Duplicate sets for any class can be ordered for half the price of the class. Please let me know when you sign up for the class, or as soon as possible. There will be no stamp on your stamp card for duplicate sets.

Duplicate images can be made of any stamp I used in class as long as you have or are taking the class. You can bring your own card stock or buy from me.

Private Class-Can’t make a regular class time, no problem. Contact me and we will set up a time you can come and do the class at a time that works for you. No extra charge.

Design Service-Need wedding, invitation or graduation cards and you don’t know where to start or maybe you just don’t have the time. Then let me do the heavy lifting. My service can be as minimal or “full service” as you like from designing a sample to cutting and packaging all the card elements. My design service fee is $10.00 an hour and you tell me just how much you want done. That way you have to fun of making those special cards and the rest is just between you and me! My lips are sealed.
