Matters from the Mews at

D. Thomas Fine Miniatures

HELLO MINIATURE ENTHUSIASTS!

We are now into spring (yay!) and gearing up for a great season of miniatures filled with new artisan treasures for sale, a number of new classes and new work to be enjoyed in the gallery.

We're also excited to have contributed to the recent Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley Chapter Gala Auction - - BIG congratulations to the winner (and 5 of her BFFs) of a very special Ladies' Night Out at the shop featuring signature cocktails, an exclusive viewing of the gallery exhibit and private lessons on miniature making! Make-A-Wish is a wonderful organization bringing strength, hope and joy to children with life-threatening challenges.

NEW! FURNITURE FINISHING WORKSHOP

Please join us in welcoming back Mary Houston, artist and educator, who will be leading a new workshop on furniture finishing scale miniatures.  We'll be learning how to create a distressed-aged look which is really popular now (in real life too!). We planned this early evening class for some of you who might want to join after work.  Call to book a spot now!

NEW! STEAMPUNK FAIRY DOORS WORKSHOP

We're excited May Burnett from Custom Fairy Wings is returning to lead an adult level workshop in making fine miniatures!  Combining 2 growing trends (in the BIG and MINI worlds!), we'll be creating a fairy door in the steampunk aesthetic. Book a reservation now for this highly unique class where you'll learn new project skills while hearing from a masterful storyteller!

IN THE GALLERY: ALMA DE ESPAÑA by HERNÁN BULJEVICH
